2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil salt and pepper to taste 1/4 cup vodka 1 pound penne pasta 1 pint heavy cream
This is an easy recipe. The sauce can be made while you cook the pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. 1 In a large skillet over medium heat, cook garlic in olive oil until tender, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, breaking up a bit with fork. Stir in basil, salt and pepper and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in vodka and cook 15 minutes more. 2 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. 3 Stir cream into sauce and cook 10 minutes more. Toss with hot pasta.
