this vodka is very good, i would rate it just behind chopin, finlandia and russian standard. unique but very likeable taste
i thought russian standard was good, but this one blew me away. best vodka i have ever had
An absolutely outstanding product. Finlandia in a martini is pure heaven. One of 3 vodka's i will always keep at my bar. Has almost a sweet taste to it, wonderful flavour.
Amazing quality for the price. Outstanding straight or in a martini. One of 3 vodka's i will always have in. A finalist in our vodka taste tests.
I'm not quite getting why they think this is a premium version when the original is smoother and more flavorful. Good but not great.
Very smooth but lacking in flavour. Did ok in our blind taste test.
Great gimmick with the crystal head bottle. For the price stick with chopin over this.
Beautiful bottle, very good product. Solid as a martini, a mix or straight. Did well in our blind taste tests.
A refreshingly smooth vodka though lacking in flavour. Did ok in the blind taste tests. A good value for the price that will do well in a martini or mix in a pinch.
A very bold flavour that you may or may not like. I hated it in a martini but thought it was the best vodka i own for a mix. It absolutely transformed a Bloody Caesar into something magical.
A decent go to vodka for the price. Did just ok in our taste tests.
Nothing stood out about which can be considered good or bad.
Not a refined vodka. Sobieski has a definite bite to it. Did ok in our blind taste test. Very good in a mix. A decent mid priced vodka.
i like this vodka, it has legs, taste isn't offensive, its mild not harsh. I have yet to find a polish vodka that i didn't like. i would buy this again. bottle is a conversation piece.
what do you do on a night thats -14 outside. you invite friends over for a blind vodka taste test (i have no life).
tonight we tried 3 premium vodka's and 1 mid class vodka.
we first did a blind taste test neat of a 1/4 ounce. then measured up for vodka martini's.
the 4 vodka's tested were
Belvedere polish rye vodka at $49.95
Chopin polish potato vodka at $49.95
Grey Goose french wheat vodka at $49.95
Iceberg canadian corn vodka at $26.95
1: Chopin polish potato vodka in both taste tests, amazing stuff
2: Iceberg canadian vodka , very smooth , liked by everybody in a martini
2: Belvedere polish vodka , very nice cold neat, great in a martini
4: Grey Goose , french vodka, the roughest of the 4 in both taste tests.
being a huge fan of the original i was disappointed with the aggressiveness of this vodka. i'll pass on this and stick to my regular russian standard.
A bottle of Tito's was brought over as a gift. Its a fairly decent vodka that didn't fair to well in our blind taste tests. Falls in the middle of the pack in the 16 vodka's i have at my bar.
not sure what i was thinking. 8 months later and banff ice drops to a 3 star. so many other better vodka's out there i would bother with this anymore. funky taste i loved at first but loath now.
For years i kept a bottle of absolut at my bar thinking i had a high quality product. Only after indulging in numerous brands for taste tests (16 unflavoured and 2 flavoured) did i realize what an inferior product Absolut is. Definitely not a vodka to drink straight or in a martini.
The worst vodka i have bought. I actually cringed when trying to drink it straight in a blind taste test. It'll be the "people coming over vodka" since i won't be drinking it myself. Horrible stuff.
the absolute worst vodka i ever bought. not even sure i would call it a vodka, tasted like vermouth was already added. for people who don't like vodka, you may like this.
